Mr. George is responsible for the asset management of Invenergy power plants. He has over 26 years of broad experience in the power industry including engineering, construction, project development, commissioning, operations and asset management. Prior to joining Invenergy in November 2002, Mr. George was Vice President of Operations and Asset Management at Calpine following the sale of SkyGen to Calpine in October 2000. As one of the original team members of SkyGen in 1992, Mr. George was Vice President of Operations and Asset Management. He had direct responsibility for building SkyGen Services, SkyGen’s facility management subsidiary, into a staff of over 100 corporate and operations personnel. SkyGen Services was responsible for construction, commissioning, operations and asset management of SkyGen’s four peaking and three combined cycle cogeneration facilities totaling more than 2,500 MWs. These facilities were constructed and started up with a 92% on-time/under budget completion rate. Prior to joining SkyGen in 1992, Mr. George spent nine years as a professional engineer in the design and construction of power generation facilities at both CRS Sirrine Engineers and Sargent & Lundy. Education: MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago; BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois. |
