Mick Baird
Vice President, Development - Western Region
 

Mr. Baird is currently responsible for managing all new project identification, project development, and acquisition activities for Invenergy’s wind, solar, and thermal business in the Western Region of the United States. This includes a portfolio of projects with over 3000 MWs of development potential. Since joining Invenergy in early 2005, Mr. Baird has managed various aspects of the development and construction of over 750 MWs of financed projects.

Mr. Baird has over 15 years of power generation industry experience including project development, project management, permitting, engineering, construction contracting, technical and financial due diligence for acquisitions and financings and power purchase agreements.

Prior to working at Invenergy, Mr. Baird was a Senior Client Service Manager at Weston Solutions, Inc. where he managed a variety of energy projects including developing the business case to successfully re-power a coal-fired power plant and securing long-term fuel and power sales contracts. Mr. Baird also worked at Wisconsin Energy Corporation where he was involved in the acquisition or development of over 1600 MWs of fossil-fueled generating assets.

Education: MBA from Marquette University; BS in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University, magna cum laude.
