Steve Ryder
Vice President, Portfolio Management
 

Mr. Ryder is responsible for managing Invenergy’s wind energy and natural-gas power portfolio of more than 3,600 MWs including project accounting, asset management and existing corporate and project financings.

Mr. Ryder has 18 years of experience in finance and engineering in the infrastructure sector, primarily in the fields of energy and telecommunications, including the negotiation of project financings, management of commercial agreements, the structuring of acquisitions and the implementation of projects. He has closed more than 20 financings involving debt, equity and leasing structures.

Prior to Invenergy, Mr. Ryder was a Vice President at GE Energy Financial Services (GE Capital), where he structured and underwrote power investments in wind, solar, landfill gas, coal, natural gas and hydro facilities. Mr. Ryder also worked at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) where he concentrated on renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives in Eastern Europe.

Mr. Ryder worked for Lucent Technologies as a Member of the Technical Staff with assignments in North America, South Korea and China during which he managed the implementation of utility-scale telecommunications infrastructure projects.

Education: Masters in Public Affairs (Economics & Public Policy), Princeton University; BS in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University, magna cum laude; Chartered Financial Analyst.
