Invenergy Canada, the Canadian arm of Invenergy LLC, is an energy
company focused on the development of large-scale renewable and
clean electricity generation assets in Canada. Invenergy Canada has
been active since 2002 and is comprised of a team of professionals
based in Ontario and Quebec. The company has numerous wind energy
and natural gas fueled electric generation projects under
development. Invenergy Canada’s first project is the 570 MW St.
Clair Energy Centre combined cycle gas turbine project in Sarnia,
Ontario. The St. Clair project is currently under construction and
is expected to achieve commercial operation by the end of 2008. The
project has been developed under a Clean Energy Supply Contract with
the Ontario Power Authority. Invenergy Canada has participated in
wind RFPs in four Canadian provinces and has wind development
projects under development across the country.
