Administrative Assistant - Corunna, ON
 

 

Invenergy LLC, a developer, owner and operator of renewable and natural gas power generation facilities, headquartered in the downtown Chicago, seeks an energetic individual to oversee the administrative needs of the St. Clair Energy Centre in Corunna, Ontario

 

The individual must be a self-starter and will coordinate office services such as purchasing, payroll, records control, and other administrative activities for the Center; interprets operating policies; exercises independent judgment in the resolution of administrative problems. 

 

Job duties will include:

·         Coordinates and implements office services such as payroll, purchasing, records control, projects and budget accounting operations

·         Assist with invoice distribution, purchase orders and coding

·         Analyzes unit operating practices such as record keeping systems, forms control, office layout, personnel requirements, creating new systems or revising established procedures

·         Interprets and communicates operating policies

·         Coordinates collection and preparation of financial and operations reports

·         Participates in interview of job applicants and conducts orientation of new employees as needed

·         Locates and compiles information and formats reports, graphs, tables, records and other sources of information

·         Assembles and categorizes facts and figures for written computation and calculations.

·         Assists with special events planning

·         Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software

·         Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports

·         Other duties as assigned

·         40 hours per week with the possibility of overtime as needed

 

The ideal candidate will have 3 + years of administrative assistant experience, ideally in a smaller, entrepreneurial environment, proficient in MS office, excellent communication skills, ability to maintain positive working relationships and to work as part of a team, real estate or joint venture partnership experience a plus.
