Invenergy LLC,
a developer, owner and operator of renewable and natural gas power
generation facilities, located in the downtown Chicago, is currently looking
to hire a Director, Public Relations/ Corporate Communication. The
individual will interface with the CEO, CFO, General Counsel and Senior Vice
Presidents. This position is located in our
Chicago
(downtown), IL office.
The Director, Public Relations/Corporate Communication has responsibility
for shaping a positive corporate reputation. The position manages all
aspects of media relations, industry analyst relations, executive
communications, project specific public relations campaigns, and supports
activities in internal communications. This may position supervise and
support various outside public relations professionals.
Responsibilities will include the following:

Establish policies on media and analyst relations and
create Invenergy corporate collateral material.

Work closely with executives to develop and execute
project and corporate PR plans and strategies.

Act as chief spokesperson on behalf of Invenergy. Work
with national and international press to promote Invenergy and its
people, technology and products.

Coach and train management on media relations tactics.

Serve as leader for all crisis communications issues.

Select, write and manage executive visibility
opportunities on behalf of senior company leaders including the CEO.

Participate in efforts with industry associations,
chambers of commerce and other related groups to support Invenergy's
position on key industry regulatory and political issues.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Communications,
Business Administration required.

Minimum of three to five years experience in a public
relations/corporate communications function of a corporation.

Strong communications skills and experience with
outside parties including media and government officials.

Experience required in Microsoft office including
Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Must always be on call (phone and email) in order to
respond in a timely and accurate manner for press inquiries.

Experience with energy or utility markets helpful but
not required.

Some travel required.
