Invenergy LLC, a developer, owner and operator of renewable and natural gas power generation headquartered  in Chicago, is currently looking to hire an experienced Manager of Energy Marketing to market the power and renewable energy produced by the company’s portfolio of energy projects throughout the United States. The individual will be responsible for identifying and meeting potential customers, developing customer relationships, preparing and delivering marketing presentations, analyzing the competitive landscape, identifying customer power and renewable energy needs, developing bids in response to requests for proposals and negotiating power purchase and sales agreements.

This is a key position in the organization, and we are looking for a dynamic individual that will manage all of the company’s marketing efforts in the United States.

Required Qualifications:

Comprehensive knowledge of energy markets, with emphasis on renewable energy, including power purchase agreements, electric transmission, regulatory policies, pooled markets and natural gas power and renewable energy generation technologies including wind and solar. Applicants should possess a degree in engineering, science, economics, public policy, accounting or related field.  This position reports to the Vice President of Energy Marketing.

Other skills or requirements include:

• A BS or BA from an accredited college program and at least 5 years of progressively  responsible experience in the energy/utility market.

•  Familiarity with electricity markets and regulatory policy. 

• Strong negotiating skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
