Invenergy LLC, a developer, owner and operator of renewable and natural
gas power generation facilities, headquartered in downtown Chicago, seeks
an experienced Environmental Manager at the
600
MW
Grays
Harbor Energy Center - located in Satsop, Washington (40 miles west of
Olympia).
Responsibilities
·
Plan, develop and implement EHS policies, programs and procedures.
·
Administer plant environment compliance programs.
·
Prepare all required environmental reports, review data from all vendors
including laboratories for accuracy and timely submit reports to ensure
complete compliance with all local, state and federal environmental
agencies.
·
Review, analyze and approve test results. · Compile plant environmental agency reporting (DMR’s, EDR’s, EER’s, etc)
·
Provide technical support and direction to contractors and in house
personnel
·
Perform engineering analysis and develops recommendations to improve or
maintain generating plant efficiency, reliability, safety, environmental
and cost performance. · Administer HRSG/Steam Piping code (ASME/ANSI) repairs.
·
Monitor and evaluate plant performance and initiates corrective action
(plant performance monitoring).
·
Maintain plant performance monitoring systems and hardware (PI, Power
Smarts etc).
·
To provide technical support to the station staff as needed to address
technical problems and support operations/outage planning and scheduling
activities.
·
To act as administrator for the station technical library files and
effectively manage these support systems.
·
Provide input to the Plant Manager on the environmental, health and
safety.
Qualifications
·
Bachelor of Science degree in either engineering, environmental science or
other technical discipline
·
A minimum of five (5) years experience with EHS programs, preferably
associated with power plant operations and development
·
A strong working knowledge of EHS rules and regulations; preferably
associated with power plant operations
·
Experience in EHS reporting, management, and administration of regulatory
permits, employee training, program audits and inspections and other
elements of EHS programs
·
Ability to learn and use key programs for evaluating plant performance
·
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
·
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs
·
Excellent oral and written communication skills
