Invenergy LLC, a leading developer, owner and operator of renewable energy
and other energy generation assets, located in the downtown Chicago, seeks
an energetic individual to oversee the accounting and financial reporting
for various energy projects.
Individual must be a self-starter, well organized, possess excellent
computer skills, be able to multi-task and enjoy the challenge of taking on
new and exciting opportunities. Job duties and special projects will
include:
Scope of Work:
-
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
-
Close certain project accounting books on a monthly basis
-
Prepare journal entries and monthly accrual calculations
-
Maintain compliance with project debt and equity agreements
-
Assist in annual audit and audit report preparation
-
Coordinate project treasury, banking and cash flow analysis
-
Coordinate and take ownership of project issues with asset managers,
project managers and finance professionals
-
Document accounting memos to support project specific contracts
-
Assist asset managers in annual project budgeting process
-
Contribute to development of accounting policies
-
Assist with tax issues related to operating projects
Desired Skills / Experience:
-
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
-
CPA strongly recommended, with 3-5 years of accounting experience
-
Public accounting firm experience preferred
-
Existing understanding and knowledge of GAAP is required
-
Familiarity with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
-
Strong coordination / organization skills with attentiveness to
timelines
-
Detail oriented with ability to self-review and willingness to learn
-
Strong interpersonal skills – able to work effectively in a team
environment

Responsible, dependable and possessing an exceptional work ethic
